Where Creativity Runs Free

I'm a Panamanian Industrial Engineer who got obsessed with sustainability and design and never looked back.

Over the last ten years, I have created platforms for non-formal education through a sustainability lens, as well as projects and initiatives related to the circular economy, cultural and civic participation, and art. I have worked in the financial sector in Central America and volunteered and travelled in communities across Panamá. During these experiences, I realised that design has the power to reveal what systems tend to hide and shape the future we desire. This has been my guiding principle ever since.

Today I'm completing a MA in Sustainable Design at the University of Brighton.

I explore the intersection of different disciplines and themes. These themes attract me, and I weave them together to shape my understanding of sustainability, design, and my work.

  • Design WITH people and ecosystems not only for them. The process is just as important as the result.

  • To explore how design can help restore the natural systems that sustain life.

  • Connecting funding streams with real impact, because without funding, projects cannot scale up.

  • Seeing the whole picture rather than just the individual parts, and designing from there to create a long-term transition and change. Not quick fixes, but lasting transformations.

  • Use design to imagine possible futures not to predict them, but to question them.
